Why Join the Democrats of Rossmoor?
Join today to get the chance to engage with national, state and local candidates and learn about timely topics with expert speakers. Broaden your awareness by attending programs, book and film discussions and meet like-minded neighbors who want to keep democracy safe and secure. It is easy and inexpensive to join and we are eager to welcome you to the club.

Membership Benefits

Renew Your Membership
Your membership is good for one year after you join or renew. You will receive an email message to renew and – of course – we want you to stay with us! You can renew online or through the mail-in membership application. When using our online system and paying by credit card, you can also choose automatic renewal so you never have to think about it again. You are a valued member and we hope your membership in the Democrats of Rossmoor is valuable to you as well!
Mail-in Membership Application
We offer the convenience of joining or renewing your membership for one or two people by mail. Download the membership form, complete it, and enclose cash or check. Please return the form by mail, drop it off at Gateway Complex, or return it at an in-person event. Once we receive and process your application, you will receive a welcome email.

We are here to help. If you encounter any difficulty or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and contact us. It’s often easiest to answer questions on the phone. If you are willing to be called, please include your phone number.
The membership registration or renewal form includes the following:
- Create a “user name” – we recommend using your first and last name, but anything will work.
- Enter your email address – an email address is required.
- Create a password – the system indicates whether your password is strong enough – it must be “medium” to be accepted.
- Enter your contact information (address & phone) and answer some questions.
- Have the opportunity to indicate which types of communications you wish to receive from us.
- Indicate whether you wish to pay by check or credit card.
- If you choose to pay by credit card, you may also elect “Recurring Payments” so that your membership is renewed automatically.
If your membership expired prior to January 2023 you will need to join the club again as a new member. If you did renew or join after January 2023 you may log in to your account.
Credit/Debit:
You can pay using all major credit or debit cards using our online system only.
Check:
Paying by check is an option with our online form. Alternatively, you can pay by check or cash if you download and print our paper form and follow the instructions on the form. Additionally, you can obtain a form and pay in person by check or cash at any of our meetings.
You can set up automatic renewal if you use the online form and pay by credit card/debit card. You will be informed by email 30 days before the renewal date that your card will be charged and provided with a link to update or cancel the charge.
Reminders to renew your membership will be emailed one month before the expiration date. A second reminder will be sent two weeks prior to expiration and another on the date of expiration.
You can download and print our paper form and pay by check or cash, following the instructions on the form. Alternatively, you can obtain a form and pay in person at any of our meetings.
If you do not have an email, you can join or renew by downloading and printing our paper form and pay by check following the instructions on the form. Alternatively, you can obtain a form and pay in person (check or cash) at any of our meetings.
Please send an email to [email protected] and ask us to update your file. We will advise you when this has been completed, and then you will have access to your online membership account.
Each member needs their own registration. When registering for the membership online, each person must complete their registration and payment separately.
You can register for two people by using our paper registration form, which contains places to enter information for two people.
You can pay for two people by check only. However, a single $50 check can be submitted for two people who use our online form OR a paper form. (If you use the online form and send one check, please include a note indicating for whom the payment should be credited.)
Members who fail to renew will continue to receive the Weekly Update email for three months, which contains a reminder that their membership has expired.
Memberships that have expired can be renewed at any time and will last for an one year from the date of their renewal.
As you enter your password, the system will indicate the strength of what you have entered (i.e. “weak,” “medium” or “strong”). Your password must be of “medium” strength. The way the system works in complex, but the following will help you meet the criteria:
- Use at least 9 characters
- Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Include at least one number
- Include at least one special character
- Avoid using common dictionary words or elements of your username or email address
If you are a registered Democrat in Contra Costa County, the DOR needs the version of your name(s) as is shown in the voter roles if it differs from the name you already provided when joining.
