Successful District 2 Democratic Central Committee Candidates!
Six representatives were elected to the Contra Costa County Democratic Central Committee to represent Supervisorial District 2. The successful candidates are listed in order of the highest vote-getter: Marisol Rubio, Sarah Butler, Renee Zeimer, Susan Hildreth, Katie Ricklefs and Brodie Hilp. These results represent 100% of precincts in and all votes tallied as of 4pm on March 8, 2024. Thanks to all who voted and best wishes to our successful candidates
March 5 Primaray Results
The turn-out in this election was very low, although Contra Costa County voters at 30% total turn-out performed better than many of our neighboring counites. Turn-out will be key in the General Election in November.
These results* have been highly publicized but just in case you have not heard:
- President Biden (92%) won the Democratic Party Primary for President
- Adam Schiff (D-39%) and Steve Garvey (R-24%) will compete for US Senator
- Mark DeSaulnier (D-65%) was top vote-getter for US Representative, District 10
- Tim Grayson (D-62%) and Marisol Rubio (D-37%) will compete for CA Senate, District 9
- Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (D-66%) was top vote-getter for CA Assembly, District 16
- Candace Andersen ran unopposed and won as Contra Costa County District 2 Supervisor
- Proposition 1 is too close to call statewide. In Contra Costa County, 56% in favor, 44% opposed
