On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the Democrats of Rossmoor will host their monthly TGWD meeting in the Fireside Room. Doors will open at 4:00pm. The speaker for this program will be Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder Kristin Connelly.

In November, 2022, Kristin Connelly was elected to the office of Clerk-Recorder. She is a native of Contra Costa County and earned a law degree from Fordham and a master in public policy from Georgetown. Before winning her election, Connelly was the President and CEO of the East Bay Leadership Council (EBLC) for more than 8 years. She also served on the Acalanes Union High School District Governing Board from 2018-2023.

The County Clerk’s office is where residents apply for a marriage license, obtain certified copies of birth, death and marriage certificates, file a fictitious business name,and register as a notary public. The County Recorder keeps property records, real estate documents and military discharge papers. The Clerk-Recorder also oversees local elections, collecting and counting ballots and reporting results to the California Secretary of State. This office is charged with ensuring the elections are secure and accurate.
